Presentations currently In the works so far:

- Marketing & Branding: With so many new aerial photographers entering the market, we all need to bump up our marketing to get seen!

- Website Design and Search Engine Optimization: For those of us who maintain our own websites, making them run quickly, coming up with the right keywords, and understanding Google's rating system can be daunting! Come learn from an expert in SEO! There may even be time for them to take a look at YOUR webpage and give you one on one advice?

- Stepping outside your comfort zone with Mapping (Yawn): I'm going to start this with a story: Here at The 111th, construction progress and real estate photography had always been our biggest money maker. Unfortunately for us, the introduction of UAVs caused our construction progress and real estate clients to dwindle! (Does any of this is sound familiar to you?) Adding Surveying and Mapping to our wheelhouse has filled the void left by our Residential Real Estate clients and has brought in new construction progress business! We are putting together a list of some of our favorite mapping tools and best practices and will be sharing them with you! You have the experience and you already have almost all of the tools you need to get Mapping!

- Jean-Luc Kaiser: "The history of aerial photography : 1850 to today, how  enthusiasts, inventors, and photographers invented and improved the business we do every day!" Hopefully Jean-Luc will also share some information about the First PAPA Conference in France and what new and exciting things are happening at L'Europe Vue Du Ciel.

- Architectural Ground Photography: I would love to have someone do a presentation on Ground Architectural photography! From the use of a tilt-shift lens, taking and processing beautiful HDRs, day and night photography, interior and exterior photography, UAVs, and editing, there is always more to learn and room for improvement. (Would someone like to sign up to do this for us?)

- Aerial Photographer Town Hall: We all have questions, here's your chance to ask them and have them answered by your fellow colleagues in an impromptu popcorn session! When you arrive you will be asked to submit one or two questions (anonymously if you wish). During the session we will pick questions at random and read them to the group. Individuals from PAPA can then chime in and help answer the query! I think this can be a fun and informative way to get to know our colleagues and industry best practices better!

- The Future of Aerial Photography~where do you see our industry going.   Drones had temporarily opened the door to aerial photography to anyone with the money to purchase a UAV.  But fast forward to today, many of those drones are now gathering dust or have crashed and haven't been replaced.  Many who started their own companies relying solely on drones as their aerial photographic platform have found that the money just isn't there.  Only the best and only those who understand that you must charge a fair price in order to gain a profit are surviving as a drone operator.  But now look at many of PAPA's long time members who continue to use airplanes and helicopters as their platforms of choice, we are surviving and thriving.  Why?  We don't see new airplane and helicopter based aerial photographers being made.  The barrier to entry is far to high now.  The time when an aviation enthusiast and new pilot would just want to earn enough to pay for his gas money would get into aerial photography.   When the economy tanked in 2008, if you were strong enough to survive, you are now thriving.  When drones looked like they would take business and our customers, again, we have outlasted them.  We are still here and we can do so much more.
